By accessing or using AlaskanWebsites.com, or contracting with Martin Media for website design, development, redesign, hosting, or SEO services, you agree to the following terms and principles:
1. Absolute Client Domain & Content Ownership
Your domain always remains yours. Unlike proprietary website builders or predatory agency models that hold domains hostage, Martin Media never registers your domain in our own name. All client-provided logos, photographs, brand assets, and copywriting remain 100% your property.
2. Code Ownership & Portability
Upon final payment for a custom website build, you own the website build and code. Because we build with modern open-source standards (Astro, HTML, Tailwind CSS, React), your website is fully portable. If you ever choose to host elsewhere, you receive complete access to your repository and build files without exit penalties.
3. Estimates & Scopes of Work
Preliminary estimates provided via our online quote forms or cost calculators are informational guides. Final project pricing is formalized in a clear, written Scope of Work with milestone deliverables and timeline commitments.
4. Managed Hosting & Support Plans
Managed hosting, security patches, Cloudflare edge delivery, and ongoing content maintenance are provided on a month-to-month or annual agreement. Services can be cancelled at any time with 30 days written notice.
